Terms of membership

Thank You, Sir. is run by the team behind thankyousir.app. You can reach a human at support@thankyousir.app. These terms cover your use of thankyousir.app and the app installed from it.

This is an adult service. By creating an account you confirm you are at least 18 years old. If we learn an account belongs to someone younger, we close it and refund any charge made in the previous billing period.

Access to the audio library while your membership is active: one-off sessions, series, and collections, plus anything new added during your membership. Some sessions stay free and need no membership at all.

We add and occasionally retire sessions. We don't promise that any specific session stays available forever, and we don't promise a fixed number of new releases.

• Founding prices are $9 per month or $49 per year. The price you join at is the price you keep for as long as your membership stays active without interruption.
• This is a recurring subscription. It renews automatically — monthly or yearly, matching the plan you chose — until you cancel. Each renewal charges the payment method on file.
• We email you a receipt after every successful charge, and we email you if a charge fails.
• Applicable tax may be added at checkout based on where you are. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your full card number.
• If we change prices, existing members keep their price until they cancel. Any change is announced by email before it takes effect.

You can cancel yourself, any time, from the You tab inside the app — no email required and nobody to talk to. Your access continues to the end of the period you already paid for, then stops. Nothing is charged after that.

Payments already made are not refunded. The full policy is on the cancel and refunds page.

The sessions are made for rest, relaxation, and winding down. They are not therapy, counselling, medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and they are not a substitute for care from a qualified professional.

If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, please contact your local emergency number or a crisis line. This app cannot help with that and is not monitored.

Don't listen while driving or doing anything that needs your attention — many sessions are designed to make you sleepy.

Your membership is a personal, non-transferable licence to listen. The recordings, voice, writing, artwork, and name remain ours.

• Listen as much as you like, on your own devices.
• Don't download, rip, re-upload, repost, or share the audio — including clipping it for social platforms.
• Don't share your account login. One membership is for one person.
• Don't use the audio in your own content, product, or service, or to train a machine-learning model or clone a voice.

Sharing or reposting paid sessions is the one thing that will get an account closed without a refund.

Keep your password to yourself and tell us if you think someone else is in your account. You can delete your account at any time from the You tab; deleting is permanent and also cancels any active membership.

We may suspend or close an account that shares paid audio, abuses the service, charges back a legitimate payment, or breaks these terms. Where it's fair to do so, we'll tell you why first.

We work to keep the app up but can't promise it will never be unavailable. Planned and unplanned downtime happens, and an occasional outage doesn't entitle you to a refund.

The service is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here removes rights you have under consumer law where you live.

If we change something material, we'll email active members before it takes effect and update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use your membership after that means you accept the new terms. If you don't, cancel — and you keep access to the end of the period you paid for.
